Can you read my DM's?
I'll put my hands up here and admit that if I choose to I could access your twitter account, read your DM's, post updates on your behalf and do whatever I fancied.
Once you've gotten over that shock I'll tell you why I don't.
I've been working on Twipler for over a year in my spare time. I don't watch TV in the evening and I don't play on either my PS3 or my Wii. I do have time for my family, friends and all the things important in my life, but in what little spare time I do have I spend it developing Twipler. I'm pretty heavily invested in it.
If someone discovered that I'd accessed their account without permission, Twitter would block Twiper - my project dies. People won't use it - my project dies. You can punch me in the face - my nose bleeds. So ask yourself, are your DM's really that interesting that I would risk throwing away all my hard work? I doubt it.
